Book Review: Serena Kaylor's 'Calculation' proves predictable romance can be uproarious, nail-biting

Marlowe Meadows has great grades, a loving family, two best friends who understand her and all her autistic quirks, and a picture-perfect, blue-eyed, football-playing boyfriend. At least, until Josh breaks up with her unceremoniously at the end of junior year, sending her perfectly categorized world into a tailspin. The obvious solution is to win him back, and Marlowe decides her emotionally intelligent English project partner can teach her how. Donna Edwards of The Associated Press says Serena Kaylor's sophomore novel is deliciously satisfying, nail-biting, tear-inducing and uproarious, even when things pan out as expected.
