FORECAST DISCUSSION:

It's going to be a hot work week. A heat advisory is in effect until Friday evening. Day time high temperatures will reach the mid-upper 90s while the heat index will exceed 100 degrees almost every day this week.

Today there will be the chance for a pop-up thunderstorm or two by the afternoon. The latest update from the Storm Prediction Center has portions of central Ohio under a marginal risk (1/5) for severe weather this afternoon. Some of the pop-up showers and storms could bring strong and gusty winds. Air temperatures will top off in the mid 90s with a heat index over 100 degrees.

Overnight the small storm chance will continue, but most will stay rainless. Temperatures will only drop to the mid 70s for our overnight low, which is about 15 degrees above normal. Humidity will be high enough that tonight will still feel very muggy.

Tomorrow there will be a few more chances for a pop-up storm or two, but the hear will continue and it is not expected to move anytime soon. Temperatures return to the mid 90s with a heat index in the low 100s. This will repeat almost every day this work week. Stay cool central Ohio.
