MANHATTAN (KSNT) - The City of Manhattan announced several roadwork projects that will result in road and lane closures across the city.

On Monday, June 17 the city announced on social media the Wastewater Division would be closing the southern eastbound lane of Anderson Avenue and the southern access to North Martin Luther King Jr. Drive for sewer improvements. The closure is expected to last until Tuesday, June 25.

Martin Luther King Jr. Drive will be closed to traffic from the north and will only be accessible from side streets to the south.

Eastbound traffic on Anderson Avenue will be unable to turn south on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and westbound traffic will be unable to turn south on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, according to the announcement.

The City of Manhattan Street Division is also closing multiple lanes in the 1900 block of Casement Road for concrete panel replacements.

Harvey Drive will be closed to traffic and accessible through a detour from Daisy Court to Dix Drive and then back to Harvey Drive. The closure is expected to remain in place through Friday, June 21.

The city expects other temporary closures and detours along Casement Road while crews do concrete improvements over the summer. The work will require the use of temporary traffic signals, according to the city.

The east-central part of the Kansas State University campus can be accessed from 11th Street via Ratone Street then south to Petticoat Lane.
