Shubman Gill allegedly addresses ‘disciplinary issue’ rumors with Rohit Sharma

Shubman Gill recently came into the spotlight when his fans found out that he had unfollowed Rohit Sharma on Instagram. Gill, along with Avesh Khan were part of the travelling reserves for the T20 World Cup. However, the team management decided that they do not need more than 2 reserves for the Super 8 stage and thus, both Shubman and Avesh are set to be released from the Indian squad.

While it was a pre-decided move from BCCI before the team had departed for the World Cup, rumors started floating on social media that suggested disciplinary issues as the reason behind Gill leaving the Indian squad. However, Gill silenced all the rumors between him and Rohit Sharma through his Instagram story.

As a reply to al the rumors, Gill posted an Instagram story that featured Rohit Sharma and his daughter Samaira that not only shocked the fans but also helped in clearing the air between the two players.

Not-so satisfactory scores in recent matches for the Indian cricket team, along with the bad start and slow progress in the IPL 2024 season made Gill miss out on India’s 15-man squad for 2024 T20 World Cup.
