GOOD Morning Britain anchor Susanna Reid was forced to apologise to viewers as Noel Edmonds revealed the very rude name of his pub.

It came shortly before the ITV daytime show descended into chaos, with the former Deal Or No Deal frontman later reunited with his loveable, lively pal Mr Blobby.

Noel, 75, was chatting to Good Morning Britain‘s Susanna, 53, and co-host Ed Balls, 57, about his new life in New Zealand and his radio projects.

He has founded u.radio, which he claims is growing faster than Spotify, as well as internet radio guide, radiotaxi.world.

As Susanna asked him if he ever looked back on his time on telly, which also included shows such as Noel’s House Party, he denied that he did because he was too busy.

He said his duties also included running his 1,000 acre farm and a vineyard.

Turning talk to booze, he told how his pub was called: “The Bugger Inn,” which prompted Susanna to reply: “Steady, steady!”

Referring to the lewd double entendre, Noel told her: “It’s perfectly acceptable language,” yet the ITV stalwart didn’t seem to agree.

Susanna insisted: “I will have to apologise for that, in case there are families that don’t think so.”

Yet there were more antics to come later in the interview segment, when Mr Blobby appeared as a special guest.

Noel joked that he chatted to the pink and yellow character “every day” before he zipped out from backstage and proceeded to give him a cuddle.

Blobby, with his signature electronic voice, then clambered onto the seats, falling between Ed and Noel.

Noel was telling the character how he couldn’t give him a radio show before he again ran around the studio.

Completely out of the blue, he then took a swipe at Blobby’s huge figure and said: “He makes Ed look slim,” with the former politician left open-mouthed at the bodyshaming remark.

Noel’s House Party – which saw Blobby and Noel as a double presenting duo – began in 1991.

It ran for a whopping 169 episodes and wrapped in 1999.

TOUGH TIMES

The Sun previously exclusively reported how the ex-Swap Shop host had come under fire last month for sacking 17 workers at his vineyard with just a day’s notice.

The employees said they were left “blindsided” after his New Zealand pub and winery shut up shop for their winter.

One member of staff at the River Haven establishment in Ngatimoti said: “Emotions are very high.

“It came right out of the blue. We had a meeting a week before where Noel asked for our ideas for winter.

“At 4pm on the Saturday, April 27, one of the managers took a group of us into a back room and said, ‘Tomorrow is your last day’. We never saw Noel.”

Another then added: “The venue manager told us we would all have a drink at the Bugger Inn that evening using our tip money.”

PUT HIS FOOT IN IT

Noel has recently stirred further controversy for donning mis-matched shoes.

It came as he posed for a picture outside of Laxey Beach Stop Cafe in the Isle of Man on a trip back to home turf.

He was seen showcasing one tan brown shoe and another darker brown loafer boot.

It was the same case on Monday’s GMB, where Susanna said his footwear had left her distracted.

He then tried to convince her that the district of New Haven, in New Zealand, has banned matching shoes – with police enforcement as standard.

Cleary not having the wool pulled over her eyes, Susanna clapped back: “It’s not April 1,” referring to April Fool’s Day.

Noel moved to New Zealand in 2019 with former make-up artist Liz Davies.
