Armie Hammer Looks Back on Cannibalism Accusations & How He Feels About Them Now

Armie Hammer is opening up about the accusations that he was a cannibal.

The 37-year-old actor was accused of cannibalism and sexual assault and has denied any criminal wrongdoings.

Now, Armie is speaking out about the comments and how he really feels about them now that a few years have gone by.

“Whatever it was that people said, whatever it was that happened, I’m now at a place in my life where I’m grateful for every single bit of it,” he shared on the Painful Lessons podcast. “I’m actually now at a place where I’m really grateful for it because where I was in my life before all of that stuff happened to me, I didn’t feel good. I never felt satisfied.”

“I never had enough, I never was in a place where I was happy with myself where I had self-esteem,” Armie added. “I never knew how to give myself love. I never knew how to give myself self-validation but I had this job where I was able to get it from so many people that I never had to learn how to give it to myself.”

Armie also shared that he is in a 12-step program, and he also talked about how all the accusations and the effects of it all took a toll on his mental health, including contemplating taking his own life.
