‘Petty and irrational’ rant Love Island viewers as Sam and Joey clash over bombshell Grace

LOVE Island fans viewers were not on side tonight when Samantha Kenny decided to sleep outside after a disagreement with partner Joey Essex.

The Liverpool local was left devastated after Joey’s recent ex Grace Jackson made an appearance in the villa.

The pair allegedly dated for six weeks at the start of 2024 before he abruptly called time on the romance.

She has been clear that she is determined to get answers out of the TOWIE star during her time in Mallorca.

Grace’s arrival left Samantha feeling insecure about her relationship with Joey.

Things escalated when the former lovebirds shared a kiss while playing beer pong.

Even though Joey protested that he was just following the rules of the game and would not have made a move on her otherwise, Sam decided to sleep on the daybeds.

Some of the other girls tried to reassure her, pointing out that Sam and Joey have been coupled up from the beginning and gone on dates for two weeks now.

However, she was convinced that the the TV personality’s head would be turned by his ex.

Joey had an argument with Samantha as she bundled herself up in a quilt for the night, alone in the garden.

“Samantha, what are you doing?” he asked, exasperated.

“We just played a game in the garden that’s all it was.”

She hit back: “I just want to back off now because you and her have got something good.”

He responded: “You’re telling everyone you’re not bothered but you’re sleeping on the day bed.”

But she stayed firm, adding: “I’m not bothered, I want you and her to rekindle.”

Viewers were not very sympathetic towards her approach, and felt that she could have kept him as a partner with a softer attitude.

One person complained: “Sam soo caught up that Joey’s gonna leave her, she doesn’t realise that she’s giving him every reason to leave her ffs.”

Another added: “But Sam I need you to wake up and realise that all of this tantrum throwing is a turn off. We are not saying don’t be upset, just act like you’ve been here before I beg.”

A third thought that she could have handled the situation more gracefully even if Joey was not interested in her romantically, saying: “Joey isn’t into Samantha, which we can all see, including Sam herself but the way she just handled that situation was petty and just irrational.

“Her first response is always to be hostile and even if Joey doesn’t like her as more than a friend he still deserves respect.”
