6 injured in shooting at home in suburban Detroit

Six people are in the hospital after they were shot in a suburban Detroit home. WXYZ-TV reports the shooting happened around midnight Sunday at a home in Lathrup Village. Officials told the television station that two of the victims are in critical condition. The condition of the other four victims is unknown. Neighbors say a party was taking place a home nearby at the time of the shooting. Oakland County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Stephen Huber didn't immediately respond to messages Sunday from The Associated Press seeking more details. The shooting happened just hours after a gunman opened fire at a splash pad in Rochester Hills, another suburb about 22 miles (35 kilometers) northeast of Lathrup Village. Nine people were hurt in that shooting.
