'Inside Out 2' Breaks Records With Opening Weekend - Box Office Numbers Revealed!
Inside Out 2 is huge!
The Pixar sequel is having a huge start in its opening weekend at the global box office, pulling in a mighty $155 million domestically over Father’s Day weekend, far exceeding the $90 million projections, marking the second-biggest animated debut of all time for a three-day weekend, not adjusted for inflation, via THR.
It opened to a record $140 million overseas, for a global total of $295 million, the biggest opening of all time for an animated film in like-for-like markets when accounting for exchange rates, the outlet also notes.

Pixar’s Incredibles 2 remains No. 1 for animated domestic opening ($182.7 million), previously followed by Illumination and Universal’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie ($146.4 million), which Inside Out 2 just bested.
It broke records across Latin America, landing the second-biggest opening of all time behind Marvel and Disney’s Avengers: Endgame and opening to $30.2 million in Mexico alone.
The first film went on to earn $860 million globally.
Inside Out 2 is the first movie since Barbie to cross $100 million in its debut. The movie has a Rotten Tomatoes critics score of 93% and audience score of 96%, plus an A CinemaScore.
