HOME Bargains shoppers are rushing to buy a Nestle chocolate bar scanning for 50p instead of £1.50.

Customers have been left proclaiming “get in me” after spotting Munchies caramel and biscuit share bars on the retailer’s shelves.

The sweet snack is on sale for 49p instead of a recommended retail price of £1.50 – a 68% discount.

The 87g bar combines gooey caramel and crispy biscuit wrapped in a milk chocolate shell.

Home Bargains recently posted a picture of the share bar on its Facebook page, with shoppers quick to comment.

One said “get in me” while another said “they look banging”.

A third chimed in: “Shut the front door.”

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “This looks a bit lush.”

Of course, whenever buying anything like this, make sure you shop around to see where you can get the best deal.

Websites like Trolley and Price Spy let you compare prices on thousands of products to see which retailer is selling them cheapest.

You can use the Google Shopping/Product tab to quickly scan the internet too.

We had a look to see if any other retailers are selling the same 87g share bar for less than 49p, but couldn’t find any.

Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Ocado all have the bar on sale for £1.35 – 86p more expensive than Home Bargains.

If you are keen to snap up the bar from Home Bargains, it is not available to buy on its website so you’ll have to head in-store.

It might be worth calling your local branch to see if it has any in stock to avoid a wasted trip.

Remember, you can find your nearest Home Bargains branch by using the retailer’s store locator tool on its website.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

You just have to enter your town or postcode and it will bring up the nearest one to you.

In other Home Bargains news, shoppers couldn’t get enough of a £4 summer essential on sale earlier this month.

Plus, customers were left rushing to buy a bargain iconic toy scanning for £3 instead of £17 at the checkout.

How to save money at Home Bargains

You’ll want to first start by looking in the right place in your local Home Bargains store.

Tom Church, retail expert from deals website latestdeals.co.uk, previously told The Sun the best offers are usually by the front door in a bid to lure you in.

Next, it’s worth keeping an eye out for Mrs Hinch products which are extremely popular and often reduced in price, he said.

Shop at the right time too, which according to one current worker is first thing in the morning, when stock is fresh and you’re likely to get the best pick of products.
