Insiders Reveal How Taylor Swift Allegedly Feels About Her Ex Matty Healy Getting Engaged

Right after Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn called it quits, she found herself in the middle of a passionate romance with the 1975’s frontman Matty Healy. While the romance lasted two months, it was seemingly quite meaningful, at least to Swift, who allegedly wrote quite a few songs about him on her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Swift moved on fast and started dating her current beau Travis Kelce, and as for Healy, he started dating model Gabbriette Bechtel in Sept 2023. And now, in June 2024? He and Bechtel are engaged; and insiders are claiming Swift is feeling quite a few emotions after this news came out.

An insider told Life and Style Magazine that Swift is ” shocked” but “happy” for her ex, who is about to walk down the aisle with Bechtel tchel.

“Taylor wasn’t surprised to hear that Matty was seriously dating someone, I mean, so was she, but she was shocked to learn that he was already engaged,” they said. “She’s happily moved on to Travis and couldn’t be happier, but a little part of her questions if Matty was ever really into her.”

Listen, we totally get it. She’s moved on too, but they did date a year ago, and how he’s engaged to someone after less than a year of dating.

Now, did Swift and Healy ever talk about marriage? Sources say he “wasn’t the settling down type when [Taylor] was dating him, but somehow Gabbriette swayed him to propose.”

They added, “[Taylor] wonders why he was able to change for [Gabbriette]. That part stings a little. I guess it’s a girl thing, always analyzing exes and why past relationships didn’t work out, which is something Taylor is famous for doing. But don’t get me wrong, she wouldn’t go back in time for all the money in the world. She’s in love with Travis and hopes Matty has found happiness too.”

For those that don’t know, Swift and her ex-boyfriend Alwyn called it quits in Feb 2023 after nearly six years together. Less than two months later, she was spotted with Healy, whom she knew for about a decade beforehand.

He later arrived at her concert, and the two continued a brief fling until June 2023. As we said, Swift is now with Kelce, and has been for a year, while Healy is engaged to Bechtel, with whom he started dating in Sept 2023.
