FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Saturday will be the last day with seasonable temps for quite a while. High pressure will dominate the region allowing for a persistent flow of hot air to move in. By next week central Ohio will see temperatures in the mid 90s with a heat index well over 100.

Today plenty of sunshine is expected across the area. Thank to the cold front that oved through yesterday, dew points will stay low and it will feel very comfortable today. Temperatures will top off in the low 80s. Northeast winds will continue at speeds between 5-10 mph.

Tonight will bring a few passing clouds, but generally speaking conditions will be very calm. Lows will fall to the mid-upper 50s. This will feel chilly compares to the overnight lows that will arrive next week.

Tomorrow the sunshine continues, but the warmer temperatures begin. Thankfully the humidity will be low, so the heat index and the air temperature will be close to the same. That will not be the case next week. Heat index values will climb over 100 degrees.
