Nearly 4,000 Marin public high school students received diplomas at ceremonies at area schools this month.
Several thousand students graduated from Marin private high schools, such as Marin Catholic, Branson, Marin Academy and San Domenico. Most ceremonies were held last week, along with Tomales High School, which hosted its commencement on June 7.
This week, graduates celebrated on Tuesday at Tamiscal and San Andreas; Wednesday at Madrone; Thursday at Tamalpais, Redwood, Archie Williams, San Rafael, Terra Linda, Marin’s Community School, Marin Oaks and Nova Independent Study and Friday for Marin School of the Arts, Novato and San Marin high schools.
After years of pandemic restrictions, “graduations around Marin County this year feel like normal again,” said John Carroll, Marin superintendent of schools. “All in all, graduation season in 2024 feels very positive and celebratory.”
