Showers, strong thunderstorms to drench NY, NJ
NEW YORK (PIX11) – High pressure will move offshore into the Atlantic as a cold front will work its way into the region from the west.
We can expect mostly sunny skies Friday morning followed by increasing clouds in the afternoon. Showers and strong thunderstorms will develop toward the evening hours as the front moves through the area. The high will be 87 in the city, low-80s over coastal spots and upper-80s to low-90s for inland areas.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and less humid as high pressure will move into the region from the west. The high temperature will be 83 in the city and low to mid-80s in the suburbs.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and pleasant as high pressure will center itself over the area. The high temperatures will be 80 in the city and upper-70s to low-80s in the suburbs.
Monday will be sunny and pleasant with temperatures in the low-80s for much of the area.
Tuesday will be sunny and very warm as high pressure will move offshore into the Atlantic. Temperatures will be well above average with a high of 90 in the city and mid-80s to low-90s in the suburbs.
Wednesday will be hazy, hot, and humid with a high of 91 in the city and upper-80s to low-90s in the suburbs.
Thursday will be sunny and hot with a chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorms during the afternoon. The high will be 92 in the city and low to mid-90s in the suburbs.
