The St. Mary Parish school board approved a $1,500 increase to teacher salaries at Thursday night's board meeting.
CENTERVILLE, La. (KLFY) -- The St. Mary Parish school board approved a $1,500 increase to teacher salaries at Thursday night's board meeting.
Starting pay will now begin at $47,000. Classified staff will also receive raises based on peer and market reviews for hourly raises. According to a Facebook post by St. Mary Parish schools, all salary schedules will be updated on the school board's website on Monday, June 17.
