2024 Emmy nominations ballot: See the 73 Best Comedy Series hopefuls from ‘Abbott Elementary’ to ‘Young Sheldon’
When TV academy voters sit down to fill out their 2024 Emmy nominations ballots, they have to consider 73 shows for Best Comedy Series; this is down by 22 contenders from last year. As was the case last year, each member’s selections may not exceed the number of eventual nominations in a given category, which will be eight in this case.
On its quest for a second consecutive victory here, “The Bear” will have to fend off just two of its seven 2023 rivals: “Abbott Elementary” and “Only Murders in the Building.” Last year’s remaining contenders that did not air episodes during the June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024 eligibility period are “Barry,” “Jury Duty,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Ted Lasso,” and “Wednesday,” the last of which is the only one known to have a new season in the works.
Remember, only eight of the shows listed below will earn bids for Best Comedy Series when the Emmy nominations are announced on July 17. Which of these laffers do you think will make the cut?
