'Project Runway' Judge Elaine Welteroth & Husband Jonathan Singletary Expecting Second Child!

Elaine Welteroth is having another baby!

While attending a fundraiser for her nonprofit birthFUND on Thursday (June 13), the 37-year-old Project Runway judge announced that she and husband Jonathan Singletary are expecting their second child together.

Keep reading to find out more…“This was not part of my plan,” Elaine said during her opening remarks, via People. “This is God’s plan. But as we were building birthFUND, I happened to find out that my baby’s going to be part of the first birthFund cohort. So, let’s go! Let’s go!”

Elaine founded the nonprofit, which is an initiative to provide midwifery resources for expecting mothers.

While speaking with People at the event, Elaine said that her second pregnancy is going a lot smoother than her first.

“So good and so much better than I did last time because this time I have a midwife from the beginning,” Elaine shared. “Last time I didn’t even discover midwifery until my third trimester. I didn’t even work up the nerve to do a home birth until week 36. So this time, my experience of pregnancy has transformed because I have access.”

Elaine and Jonathan married in May 2020 and welcomed son Silver Isley in April 2022.

Also in her interview, Elaine admitted that she was surprised to find out she was pregnant again.

“I think I’m just in such a different stage of life,” Elaine explained. “My mindset is in a different place. I was building my team. I was making hires. I was working around the clock, literally 16-hour days, just back-to-back.”

She added, “I guess this is part of the bigger master plan, and it deepened the meaning of this work because it felt even more personal.”
