The super cringe tattoos celebs went to desperate lengths to hide… as Lottie Moss lasers off infamous face inking
LET’S be honest, most know of us know the feeling of a stonking hangover, filled with regrets from the night before.
But few will have done it quite like Lottie Moss, who woke up quite literally with a sore head – after drunkenly getting a face tattoo.
The model, 26, got the word ‘Lover’ inked just under her eye while on holiday in Bali in December 2022.
In a warning to fans, she joked: “Don’t drink alcohol kids!”
She added: “I don’t have a lot to say about last night really beside the fact this could have been without doing… but I don’t mind it.
“We’re going to learn to love it, the world will learn to love it and my mum will learn to love it.”
Now, however, she is finally getting the infamous inking removed, posting a photo of herself on Instagram this week getting treatment at a specialist removal clinic
Of course, Lottie is not the first – and certainly won’t be the last – celeb to regret an ill-advised tattoo.

Katie Price
Former glamour model Katie, 46, really hasn’t learned her lesson about getting tributes to partners tattooed on her.
The mum-of-five first covered up a tattoo back in 2011 when she had her body art of ex-husband Peter Andre replaced with a floral design.
She had “Pete” inked on her wrist, and when they divorced she initially just put a black cross through it.
While that was an easy fix, things were more difficult when it came to getting rid of a picture she had of ex-fiance Carl Woods on her forearm.
Speaking in a previous YouTube video about their matching portraits, Carl said: “We’re getting impossible to cover statement tattoos.”
It seems Katie managed it, somehow, with a massive floral design.
She has since got a tattoo tribute to her current beau, JJ Slater, which she will hope bucks the trend!
Demi Lovato
Singer Demi, 31, got a pair of lips tattooed on her forearm when she was drunk.
The bizarre inking was allegedly a friendship tattoo, but Demi later compared it to an “open vagina”.
She got it covered up with a huge tattoo of roses in 2015, which saw the lips artist hit out at the Skyscraper singer.
Tattooist Ashley McMullen accused Demi of not paying for the ink and claimed the pop star was a drunken mess.
Demi hit back and told the artist that she shouldn’t have given a permanent marking to someone who was wasted.
She apologised for insulting the tattooist… before suggesting Ashley shouldn’t have claimed credit because it was so bad.
Johnny Depp
Actor Johnny, 61, famously got ‘Winona Forever’ tattooed on his upper right arm.
He got it while he was dating Winona Ryder in the 1990s.
But the pair split and parted ways, leaving Johnny wondering what to do with the mark.
He decided to change it, and opted to have it amended to ‘Wino Forever’.
The infamous tattoo came up in one of his trials against ex-wife Amber Heard, as Johnny claimed she had a problem with it.
He claimed Amber was unhappy, even though Johnny had the last two letters removed.
Khloe Kardashian
For some bizarre reason, Khloe decided to get a tribute to her late father in the classic position of a tramp stamp on her lower back.
In September 2015 she had a cross and angel wings along with ‘daddy’ inked just above her trouser line.
She was just 16 when she decided to get the permanent tribute, and her sister Kim didn’t have any problems roasting her for the placement.
The oldest Kardashian sibling joked on the Wendy Williams Show: “Honey, would you put a bumper sticker on a Bentley?”
Khloe started the removal process back in 2016 and admitted the tattoo was “not so cute anymore”.
Sharing the start of the process, she joked: “Bye Bye Tramp Stamp!”
She has a second tribute to her father on her wrist, which is “I Love You” inked in his handwriting.
Charlotte Crosby
Former Geordie Shore star Charlotte, 34, was left with a vile tattoo by ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear, 34, when they inked each other on their show Just Tattoo Of Us.
He gave her a huge back tattoo that was half cheetah, half bear, claiming it was to commemorate her cheating on another ex-boyfriend with him.
The cruel inking left Charlotte in floods of tears, and the pair split later that year.
Bear has since spent time in prison after illegally sharing a sex tape of him with former girlfriend Georgia Harrison.
In 2018, Charlotte started undergoing laser removal to get rid of the horrifying reminder of their relationship.
She also had a fish inked by Bear removed, and a tattoo dedicated to former flame Mitch Jenkins.
Megan Fox
Actress Megan, 38, spent years with a portrait of her idol Marilyn Monroe on her forearm.
But in 2011 she started the process of removing it because she believed it was causing negative energy around her.
She took the decision when her career was starting to flounder.
“I’m removing it. She was a negative person, she was disturbed, bipolar,” she told Italian magazine Amica.
“I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life.”
When asked about the tattoo initially, Megan claimed Marilyn was the first person she saw on TV after she was born and that she “always empathised with her”.
She also said: “Every time I heard her voice growing up I would always cry.”
Pete Davidson
Comic Pete, 30, is reportedly in the process of having his all of his tattoos removed from his arms and neck, because it leaves him having to go through hours of cover-up make-up for TV and film projects.
His body of work, so to speak, includes tributes he got for former girlfriends Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian.
He previously had bunny ears behind his own ear in honour of singer Ariana, which he turned into a heart before being lasered off.
He also had her initials, AG, inked on his finger, which he has also got removed.
During his short relationship with Kim, Pete had “my girl is a lawyer”, “Kim”, “Aladdin and Jasmine” and “KNSCP” allegedly standing for “Kim, North, Saint, Chicago, Psalm,” tattooed on in tribute to her.
They have all since been lasered off as he continues his attempt to return his body to just being plain skin.
Zoe Kravitz
When getting a tattoo, you can’t rush over the finer details.
Unfortunately for Zoë Kravitz, she ended up with a shoulder tattoo in Arabic that didn’t make sense.
The inking was meant to say “let love rule” but fans pointed out it wasn’t done correctly.
Instead, it said “let the love the rule” and ‘rule’ could also be translated to “camp, or base.”
Zoë has never given her reason for getting it lasered off, but fans noticed it was gone by 2018.
Once most of the ink was removed, she then got it covered with a dragonfly image.
Jessica Smith
The former fiancée of Stephen Bear had an engagement ring tattooed on her ring finger after he proposed before going to prison.
Jessica initially stood by the disgraced reality star, but not long after he started his prison sentence, they split.
She then went through laser removal to get rid of the black inking on her finger.
Sharing a picture on her social media after a session, she said: “Worth the pain. Legit like hot oil being poured on me.”
Jessica is getting all of her tributes to her ex removed, which includes his named tattooed on her neck surrounded by hearts.
