1. Albany man wrongfully served two decades in prison
An Albany man, who wrongfully served two decades in prison and walked away from a 50-year sentence as a free man in March, pleaded guilty to weapons charges as part of a settlement. His charges stem from a 2001 shooting where a young woman was killed.
2. Police search for fisherman who fell into Mohawk River
Montgomery County Sheriff Jeff Smith said a fisherman fell from a wall into the Mohawk River on Thursday as he was trying to recover his fishing pole.
3. Ellis Medicine nurses ratify new contract
Nurses who work for Ellis Medicine have ratified their new contract. According to the union representing nurses at the Bellevue Woman’s Center and Ellis Hospital, 100 percent of employees voted in favor of the agreement.
4. Driver who struck Halfmoon’s Riverview Road overpass ticketed
The Riverview Road bridge over the Northway has been closed until further notice since Tuesday. New York State Police said an excavator hit the overpass and the driver has been ticketed.
5. Construction underway for Chick-fil-A in Albany
A new Chick-fil-A location is officially coming to Albany. Chick-fil-A confirmed to NEWS10 that construction is underway on the new location.
