Police investigating fatal shooting in NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Police are investigating after a deadly shooting in northwest Oklahoma City Thursday night.

According to Oklahoma City Police, officers responded to an apartment complex near the 7500 block of Knight Lake Drive around 10:09 p.m.

Upon arrival, police say they found one man who had been shot while leaving his apartment. He was taken to a local hospital where he passed away.

"The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died," said Lt. Jeff Cooper with OKCPD. "At this time we don't have any suspect information."

Officials say it appears the victim was involved in an armed confrontation when the shooting happened.

No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
