Morning Briefing: Edwin Díaz Impresses In Return From Injured List

0

Good morning, Mets fans!

Despite a lackluster offensive performance with only three hits, the New York Mets managed to avoid another series loss to the Miami Marlins last night with a 3-2 victory thanks to J.D. Martinez’s walk-off two-run home run. Interestingly enough, his clutch hit marked the first walk-off homer of his 14-year career. Additionally, Edwin Díaz returned from the injured list and threw a perfect ninth inning.

Now onto the morning briefing!
