Violence in eastern DR Congo: The capture of Bunagana two years on
June 13 marked two years since M23 rebels took control of Bunagana, a strategic city in Eastern DR Congo’s North Kivu province. Since then, multiple diplomatic attempts to resolve the conflict seem to have stalled and Congolese military offensives have failed retake the areas occupied by the rebels.
