A man and three women were hospitalized after someone opened fire on them from a car Thursday evening in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side, officials said.
Chicago fire officials found the victims near 119th Street and South Michigan Avenue just before 6:40 p.m., according to a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson. The victims had been standing on the sidewalk when someone drove up and began shooting, police said.
Two of the women, aged 22 and 23, were each shot in the leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
The man, 29, was shot in the buttocks and thigh and was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition. The third woman, 29, who was shot in the back, was also taken to UC in good condition.
Police said no one was in custody and that area detectives were investigating.
