Billy Ray Cyrus & Firerose Split After 7 Months of Marriage, 'Inappropriate Marital Conduct' & 'Fraud' Mentioned in Divorce Documents

Billy Ray Cyrus has filed for divorce from his wife Firerose after less than a year of marriage.

The 62-year-old entertainer and 35-year-old performer wed on October 10, 2023. Billy Ray filed for divorce in late May, TMZ reports.

According to People, Billy Ray cited “irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct” as his reasons for filing, and he wants the marriage annulled due to “fraud.”

They no longer follow each other on Instagram. She just posted photos for their six month anniversary, writing, “6 months ago I married this man. ???? Life isn’t always easy… but it sure helps when your husband’s also your best friend. Thank you Lord! ????”

It looks like Billy Ray last posted a photo with Firerose around six weeks ago.

Billy Ray shared that they met on the set of The Hannah Montana Show about 12 years ago. The two continued a friendship over the years, and through the pandemic, they became songwriting partners, releasing their first song together “New Day” in July of 2021. The two first sparked engagement rumors when she posted a photo wearing a diamond on her ring finger in September 2022. It was later revealed that Billy had proposed the month before.

Billy was previously married to Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2002 and the former couple shares five children: daughters Miley, Noah, and Brandi, and sons Trace and Braison.
