Jeanerette man arrested, charged with rape, held on $1M bond

				FRANKLIN, La. (KLFY) -- A Jeanerette man was arrested Monday after having been indicted on a rape charge in March, authorities said.
Kennedy Johnson, 61, Jeanerette, was arrested at about 11 p.m. Monday with the assistance of Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, according to the Franklin Police Department.
A Grand Jury from the 16th Judicial District of St. Mary Parish indicted Johnson for first degree rape on March 14. Johnson was additionally charged on a warrant from Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of speeding, officials said.
Johnson was booked and held on a $1,000,230 bond.
