More clouds, same summer-like feel for Portland area Tuesday

0

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Clouds will increase Tuesday as temperatures remain mild, if not warm for the Portland-Vancouver metro area.

Clouds will increase through the mid-morning hours across western Oregon and Washington. A few of these clouds could bring a fast-moving, light rain shower or two through the day. The best chance to see rain will be along the coast, but very little accumulation is expected. Clouds will slowly start to clear through the afternoon hours. Clearing afternoon and evening skies will bring highs back into the mid-70s through the Willamette Valley.

Rain has been absent across the region for nearly a week. That comes as Portland remains only a half-inch away from its monthly total. Some Pacific Northwest locations could be near that by the weekend as rain chances increase.

Summer-like temperatures will try to warm by Thursday. Willamette Valley highs will warm close to 80 by the end of the week. The Father's Day weekend will bring slightly cooler and potentially wetter conditions, but Sunday will likely stay dry.

Temperatures will begin to warm as skies dry late in the weekend and into the start of next week.
