Should builder repair new sewer drain he broke?
Hi
DIY bods can you help with an opinion on this? We have had drainage done to connect new WC and Grey waste to sewer. Had the drainage done for small add on extension by a company as there was lots of digging and a few inspection chambers. Two pipes coming out of the ground for under the extension base. One the contractors men drove a digger over the pipe coming from the gulley and snapped it .He is offsite ill but I suspect he wants to glue it back on rather then dig out and replace. It is the outlet for wastewater from washing machine and two sinks. I am concerned if a repair would eventually break down and cause a problem with the wooden bearers of the floor.Does anyone know if a glue repair would be effective and permanent . Or should I insist he digs out the whole gulley and replaces it?
He wasn't cheap-!
