Petrol-diesel under GST? New govt hopes to get an old task done; not in favour to sell stake in OMCs

India's oil minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, has announced that the Central government will try to bring petrol, diesel, and natural gas under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) for the new term of the Modi government. Puri also hinted at an increase in oil production from the 98/2 well and a 20% blending target for ethanol by next year.
