EL RENO, OKLA (KFOR) — A young man from Moore is dead after a crash in El Reno early Sunday morning where he was driving on the opposite side of the road. El Reno police caught the whole incident on dash cam video.

Investigators say Aaron Dudick drove his Ford F-150 into an oncoming semi truck around 2:50 a.m. on Sunday.

El Reno police officers followed the truck for several minutes on I-40 after multiple people called 911.

One of the callers said, "There was just a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road that almost made me and this other car...we almost all flipped on the side of the road.

Another caller said, "there was a car that passed me up on driving westbound on the eastbound lanes on mile marker 127."

"El Reno police officers responded to the interstate and located a black Ford F-150 pickup traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes," said Kirk Dickerson, the Assistant Police Chief for El Reno PD.

To get the driver's attention, police said they were driving parallel to him.

However, after almost five minutes of following, Dudick slams on the brakes and hits the semi head-on near exit 119.

"The officers attempted to render medical aid to the driver. Unfortunately, due to the violent nature of the collision and the damage suffered by the ford, the officers were unable to reach that driver," said Dickerson.

According to the report, Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Dudick was pinned in the truck for 2 1/2 hours.

Officers are still trying to figure out where Dudick was before the crash, and how he ended up driving in the wrong lanes in the first place.
