Chappell noted that she was dressed “in drag” as the “biggest queen of them all” and she read a quote featured on the statue, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free.”

She added, “That means freedom in trans rights, that means freedom in women’s rights…and it especially means freedom for all oppressed people in occupied territories.”

During the set, Chappell debuted her brand new song “Subway” for the first time.
