AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department has identified the 27-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash in southeast Austin Saturday.

William Heinz-Phillip Fountain was driving on Teri Road, near S. Pleasant Valley Road, when he crossed into a lane of oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle, according to police. The crash happened just before 9:30 p.m.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the other vehicle remained on the scene and was not impaired, police said.
