'Exactly how it’s done': Biden mocks Trump using the ex-president's own words

President Joe Biden's newest campaign message was delivered by his political foe in a rambling rally speech that saw the convicted felon, former president and presumptive nominee tell voters, "I don't care about you."

Biden took to X Monday morning to share a video clip of Donald Trump making this bold statement during a Las Vegas rally on Sunday.

"I don't want anybody going on me, 'We need every voter,'" Trump tells the crowd. "I don't care about you, I just want your vote."

Biden's campaign video cuts to an image of the smiling president, who can be heard saying over plucky music, "I approve this message!"

Biden's tweet was viewed more than 635,000 times in the first hour after it went live.

Trump made this strange claim as a breeze blew through the more than 100-degree temperature at the Las Vegas venue, where medics had already been summoned to care for someone suffering from extreme heat.

After saying he didn't care, Trump claimed, "The press will take that, and they'll say he did a horrible thing."

Biden's decision to use these words against Trump spurred much delight from the left and sputtering outrage from the MAGA right.

"This is exactly how it’s done," replied X user Jo. "Bravo."

"Thank you for not being a convicted criminal and having a probation officer, Mr. President," added @ConservBlue2020. "So refreshing."

"That's how you flip it on him," replied @TrophyKingston. "Can't scream fake news when it's a direct quote."

Instead, Trump's supporters argued their candidate had been taken out of context.

"It’s an obvious joke," argued X user johnny maga. "He also completely destroys you for being a senile fool."

This explanation failed to impress at least one Trump critic.

"He was serious at first and then realized he messed up," replied Franklin. "Since you live and breathe on every word he says, I’m shocked that you believe he really backtracked like a punk."
