Man Utd eye transfer for 11-goal Serie A star Joshua Zirkzee – a year after splashing out £72m on Rasmus Hojlund
MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly eyeing a move for Joshua Zirkzee.
The Bologna striker starred in Serie A last term with 11 goals in 34 appearances.
Joshua Zrikzee is reportedly wanted by Manchester United[/caption] United star Rasmus Hojlund also arrived from the Serie A[/caption]Zirkzee, 23, only joined the northern Italian outfit from Bayern Munich in 2022.
He has since established himself in Thiago Motta’s starting eleven and helped the team finish in the Champions League spots.
Along with his 11 goals he also assisted four goals in Serie A.
According to Sky Sports, Zirkzee’s performances have done enough to earn interest from Manchester United.
The Red Devils are keen on adding more firepower to the squad this summer following the exit of Antony Martial.
Zirkzee’s record in Italy is slightly better than Rasmus Hojlund‘s before he made the move to Old Trafford for £ 72 million last summer.
The Dutchman managed one more goal than Hojlund’s ten and the same number of assists in the same amount of appearances.
However, Zirkzee will cost much less than the Danish striker due to his release clause worth £34m.
