Meanwhile, in a harrowing £2000 surgery gone wrong, this mum was left with a killer infection, cutting off the blood supply to her leg.

Elsewhere, another young mum was left with gaping wounds after her Brazilian butt lift went horribly wrong.

WHAT IS A BBL?

The Brazilian butt lift:

A Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is a surgical procedure aimed at enhancing the shape and size of your buttocks by transferring fat from areas like your belly, hips, lower back, or thighs. This technique doesn’t physically lift the buttocks but rather augments them, resulting in a more hourglass-like figure. By redistributing fat, it can create the appearance of a smaller waist, especially if fat is taken from the abdomen or lower back.

How does it work? The process involves two main steps: first, fat is removed using liposuction, which involves suctioning fat out through a small tube called a cannula. Then, the extracted fat is carefully injected into the buttock area.

Although a Brazilian butt lift carries risks, including potentially fatal ones, it’s generally viewed as safer compared to other methods for altering buttock appearance. Surgeons have continually refined techniques to enhance safety in recent years.

Results from a BBL are typically semi-permanent, lasting for years or even over a decade, especially with weight maintenance. The appeal of a Brazilian butt lift lies in its ability to enhance buttock shape and size without the use of implants, simultaneously addressing unwanted fat in the midsection.
