Three teens dead in two incidents of gunfire during deadly morning in Oakland

OAKLAND — Three people including two teenage juveniles were shot to death in two separate incidents early Monday, police said.

The second of the two shootings happened a little after 2 a.m. Police said an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were found wounded in the 1300 block of 102nd Avenue near International Boulevard.

An ambulance rushed the 18-year-old to a hospital, where he died about 3:15 a.m., police said. Other transportation from civilians got the 17-year-old to a hospital. Police said medics pronounced him dead about 2:50 a.m.

The first shooting killed a 16-year-old male who was found fatally shot in the 900 block of Filbert Street in West Oakland about 1:25 a.m., police said. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police said they do not have a motive or a suspect for either shooting.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest in the killing of the 16-year-old and a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to an arrest of a suspect in the double homicide.
