State Police investigate tractor-trailer crash in Ulster County
ROSENDALE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police are investigating the tractor-trailer crash that happened Friday just before 9 a.m. in Rosendale. Police say roughly 75 gallons of diesel fuel spilled due to the crash.
An initial investigation found the tractor-trailer was driving northbound on I-87 when it drove onto the right shoulder and crashed into a thruway maintenance vehicle. As a result, police say the fuel tank ruptured, spilling about 75 gallons of diesel fuel.
Both the tractor-trailer driver and maintenance worker were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. The tractor-trailer driver was issued several tickets, including one for violating the Move Over Law.
