<p>Jesus Rene Cardona, Ruben Delgadillo, Edgar Lopez and Alan Osuna are the four veterans from the 2019 team, and will mentor a young group of players from last year's youth squads, including five players from the U-23 National Team that finished fourth at the World Cup 2023 (Diaz, Peñuelas, Solorio, Jesus Valdez and Jose Valdez) and three from the U-18 team that finished second in the World Cup in Hermosillo (Del Valel, Diaz and Parra).</p>

<p>Mexico will make their debut in Group A against Czechia on Wednesday, at 20:30 local time, at Fernando Ortiz Stadium, in what could potentially be a key game for the final standings in the Opening Round. </p>
