'Exploision of joy' at France Unbowed headquarters despite fourth place

The French hard-left France Unbowed (LFI) party came in fourth in the European elections Sunday according to first estimates, scoring around 8.7 percent of the votes. Despite the results, the overall atmosphere at the party's headquarters remained buoyant and optimistic as the party scored higher compared to results in 2019, FRANCE 24's Vedika Bahl said, adding that there was an "explosion of joy" after the head of the party's list Manon Aubry issued an encouraging speech.
