Morning Briefing: Mets Get Off to Rough Start in London
Good morning, Mets fans!
Things didn’t kick off well for the Mets in London. They dropped Saturday’s matinee to the Phillies 7-2. Starling Marte continued to struggle in the outfield as a dropped fly ball allowed the Phillies to open up their lead against the Mets in the fourth.
The Mets and Phillies close out their series on Sunday in an Eastern Time morning matchup of 10:10 a.m. before both the Mets and Phillies return home to the United States. It will be Jose Quintana (1-5, 5.17 ERA) on the mound for the Mets against former Met Taijuan Walker (3-1, 5.73 ERA) for the Phillies.
