Clouds linger, fog tonight, sunshine and warmer Monday

Columbus and Central Ohio Weather

A weak area of low pressure drifting across southern Ohio along a cold front will trigger scattered showers, with skies remaining mostly cloudy. Temperatures will only reach the low 70s.

The clouds will slowly break later tonight, with some patchy fog possible.

High pressure will arrive on Monday, initiating a warming trend with a good deal of sunshine in the early part of the week. A light southerly flow will result in an increase in heat and humidity Tuesday and Wednesday.

A storm system moving east will bring more chance for showers and storms Wednesday, with rain chances diminishing to the scattered variety by the end of the week, along with cooler conditions behind a series of cold fronts.

The weather will remain unsettled next weekend during the Memorial Tournament, with a few showers possible each day but plenty of dry hours.
