Keke Palmer’s Baby Leo Was ‘Obsessed’ With One Thing on a Trip to Rome Thanks to His ‘Leo Rising’ Star Sign
As a Leo, I can say with 100% conviction that we like ourselves. We can’t help it — being the center of attention gives us life! And even though Keke Palmer’s 15-month-old son Leodis “Leo” Andrellton was born in February, he has a “Leo Rising” star sign that influences his personality, too. The Nope actress shared how this explained his obsession with one thing in a visit to Rome, and I can’t stop laughing.
In a new Instagram post, Palmer revealed that she took her son, who she shares with estranged ex Darius Jackson, to Rome, Italy, recently. “Me and my baby went to ROME!” she wrote in the caption, sharing a sweet photo of her holding Leo’s hands as he stands on a rock near a Roman fountain. And although they went to a zoo, ordered Italian pasta, and saw the Trevi Fountain — “Cues Lizzie McGuire’s ‘this is what dreaaaaams. Are made of!’ Lmao” Palmer wrote — Leo’s favorite part about the trip was admiring himself. Yes, seriously!
The “Ungorgeous” singer, who brought her sisters and nieces to Rome with her, shared that she took the kids to a children’s mom. “Took Leo to this baby/kids museum. They all loved it, it seemed a bit scienish (sic) or montessori like. Super independent, figure it out stuff,” she wrote, adding that Leo loved the mirrors in the museum the most.
“Leo found mirrors and a ramp that went up to the mirror that he became obsessed with,” she wrote, sharing a picture of Leo gazing at himself surrounded by mirrors. “He’s a Leo rising, do with that what you will!”
For those who don’t know, your “rising” sign or “ascendant” references “which zodiac sign was ascending the eastern horizon at the moment you were born,” according to Cosmopolitan. Although more people are familiar with the Sun sign, your Rising Sign could actually offset your other traits. So despite Leo being a Pisces, known for being creative, compassionate, and intuitive, he also has elements of a Leo in him due to his rising sign, including self-confidence and a love of admiring himself. Not to mention, he is literally named Leo!
Fans totally agreed with this assessment. “I’m also a Pisces sun and rising Leo ????????,” one person commented, referencing Leo’s sun sign as being born in February. “I do love a good mirror. He’s getting so big tho!!! ????”

This isn’t the first time The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy star has referenced astrology when talking about her baby boy. Palmer, who is a Virgo, said on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in January 2023 that she wasn’t sure if her son would be born as a Pisces or an Aries. “Pisces are known to be very deep,” the actor, who was pregnant at the time, said. “They’re emotional creatures. So I just want to make sure I’m not too blunt for my baby boy.”
“I don’t want to be too like, ‘Look, what’s up?’” she continued. “Because sometimes I can be a little too ‘tell it like it is,’ you know? I need to wade in the water with a Pisces, wade in the water. Just keep it chill, child.”
Her Virgo energy is so strong, a flight attendant commented on it. On the way home, Palmer got a note from her Delta flight attendant named Krystal, which said in part: “To Keke, Ms. Palmer if you nasty. Lol Thank you for your amazing spirit and true Virgo energy. My bff is a Virgo and as a Scorpio y’all are the Bomb.com!” Love that!
