Royals vs. Padres Sunday game thread
Hey, how bout a win?
The Royals have lost six of seven, a normal stretch for even contending teams, but it could spiral into something more for a young team unsure if it will spend this summer in a pennant race if they don’t get back to winning soon.
If Cole Ragans is going to be a stopper, this should be the game he ends the losing slide. Freddy Fermin is behind the plate again for the third time in four games with Salvy at DH.

The Padres start right-hander Michael King, who they got from the Yankees in the Juan Soto deal. He’s a strike-thrower who is eighth in baseball in called strikes and tenth in called and swinging strikes combined.
