Man killed in Liberty Township motorcycle crash

DELAWARE, Ohio (WCMH) -- A 50-year-old man has died after a motorcycle crash in Delaware County on Saturday night.

Seth Christie, 50, of Blacklick, was driving a red 2005 Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle north of Filiz Lane in Liberty Township when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a culvert at about 10:22 p.m. on Saturday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Christie was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 22-year-old passenger was transported to Riverside Hospital in stable condition. The OSHP said neither the driver or the passenger were wearing a helmet at the time of crash, and alcohol is a suspected contributing factor.

The crash remains under investigation.
