Sikkim BJP president Dilli Ram Thapa loses to SKM's Kala Rai in Upper Burtuk seat

According to officials on Sunday, Dilli Ram Thapa, the President of the Sikkim BJP, was defeated by SKM nominee Kala Rai in the Upper Burtuk assembly constituency. Thapa, who held the position of a sitting MLA and a former minister, lost to Rai by a margin of 2,968 votes. Rai secured 6,723 votes, while Thapa received 3,755.
