NATIONAL SUMMARY

A storm will bring heavy rain to the Northwest tomorrow,

increasing the risk of ponding on roadways and flooding in

low-lying and poor drainage areas. Showers and thunderstorms

will develop across the Plains. A zone of severe

thunderstorms will likely form from North Dakota and

Minnesota to northern Kansas and northwestern Missouri

during the afternoon and at night. Thunderstorms will be

capable of bringing hail and locally damaging wind gusts.

Showers will spread across the Great Lakes, with steadier

rain likely in Ohio and western Pennsylvania. There can be a

few spotty thunderstorms in the Southeast as well as in the

Florida Peninsula. A zone of high pressure will promote dry

and very warm conditions across the Southwest with plenty of

sunshine.
