Rumoured Tottenham target Jean Clair-Todibo has now publicly admitted that he is open to playing in the Premier League.

Todibo has emerged as one of the best centre-backs in French football over the last few years and he is thought to be one of the options on Tottenham’s wishlist as the North London club aim to bolster their options at the back.

Last week, GFFN claimed that Spurs were put off from pursuing the 24-year-old back in January as Nice valued the player at €60m (£51.1m) at the time.

However, it was explained that the Ligue 1 club are now ready to sell Todibo for just €40m (£34m) and that the Lilywhites are thus expected to try again to sign him this summer.

The publication added that Tottenham are expected to face competition from Man Utd, who are also quite keen on the France international.

A couple of days ago, Todibo confirmed in an interview with The Telegraph that he has had conversations with both Spurs and Man Utd but refused to divulge any more details.

Now, the centre-back has made it clear that he is ready to test himself in the English top-flight.

When asked about the speculation, the former Barcelona man told The Daily Mail: “It’s nice to hear all the compliments. I’m trying to stay focused on my game and my team-mates – but for sure I am open to playing in the Premier League.”

This is the third interview that Todibo has given to an English outlet over the last week, with the centre-back evidently giving a come-and-get-me plea to Spurs, Man Utd and the other top clubs across the Premier League.
