Marcel Sabitzer helps struggling Wembley security staff by tackling pitch invader during Champions League final
The 2024 UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund got off to a false start as the game was disrupted by four pitch invaders inside the opening two minutes.
With security staff at London’s Wembley Stadium seemingly struggling to cope with the intruders, Dortmund midfielder Marcel Sabitzer offered some support.
Sabitzer was seen pushing one of the pitch invaders back down to the ground as they tried to get up after initially being floored by a collision with a steward.
Multiple pitch invaders in the first minute – including this idiot who ran the length and width of the pitch before being stopped!

This was the first major European final to be held at Wembley since Italy beat England on penalties in July 2021 to win the delayed Euro 2020 tournament.
That final was marred by fan disorder after 2,000 ticketless fans breached security.
It was reported by ESPN earlier this week that £5 million had been spent on improving security at Wembley since then.
