Don’t send Olszewski, a ‘major disappointment,’ to Congress | READER COMMENTARY

Baltimore County voters ought to support GOP nominee Klacik for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives this fall.

All the crime that has been happening in Towson, and where is Baltimore County Executive John “Johnny O” Olszewski Jr.? Nowhere to be found (“Thefts of Infiniti vehicles have increased this year, Baltimore County Police say,” May 31). His attitude seems to be, “It’s not my problem anymore, and I am busy getting ready to be the next congressman.”

Well, you know what, Johnny O? It is your problem, and if this is how you handle problems in your county, God help us if you become the next congressman. You have been a major disappointment as county executive. Oh, sure, you worry about the teachers, but what about the rest of us?

It’s about time we elect someone who wants to help us, and that’s Kimberly Klacik. Yes, she is a Republican. So what is the big deal as long as she has our best interest in mind? People who are registered as Democrats need to stop thinking, “Oh, I am a Democrat so I should vote Democratic.” That is ridiculous. You have to start voting for the best person for the job.

This state is going down. Let’s put some new blood in elected office and give them a chance. Not the same old ones and nothing ever happens to fix our problems, just big talk. Vote for Klacik and get some new blood in there and you may surprise yourself and see good things happen.
