The picture contained rocks and a stream, with a critter tucked away.
They expressed being concerned about the serpent hidden in plain sight.
The Redditor even asked fellow users if the snake could have killed them.

Other Redditors were able to locate the snake, assuring the original poster that they weren’t in danger.
“Yup water snake, good for a heart attack when it goes over your shoes while fishing,” one wrote.
“Yes that has happened on numerous occasions fishing along the bank when the lake level is drastically down.
“Grew up on a lake in the Texas hill country just outside of Austin.
“I’ve had my fair share of run ins with those guys and cottonmouths.”
