Following the conclusion of the play-offs, we can now confirm what teams we will be facing in the 24/25 Scottish Premiership season.

The fixtures for the new season will be released at 9am on Thursday 27 June!

Below you can find a rundown of all our opponents and how we fared against them during the 2023/24 campaign.

Aberdeen

The Dons finished this campaign in seventh place on 48 points having had a difficult season which saw them part ways with both Barry Robson and Neil Warnock during a dramatic campaign.

We played Aberdeen five times in total during the 2023/24 campaign picking up seven points out of a possible 12 in the league. However, we narrowly lost out to The Dons in our League Cup Semi-Final at Hampden back in November 2023.

Celtic

Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic were crowned the 2023/24 Cinch Premiership champions for the third consecutive season finishing eight points ahead of city rivals Rangers.

The Celts finished the season on 93 points having won 29 games out of a possible 38 and completed a league and cup double, beating Rangers 1-0 in the Scottish Cup Final in May.

The Hibees lost twice and drew once (0-0) during our three meetings with The Hoops.

Dundee

Dundee had a very successful first season back in the cinch Premiership, finishing in the top six with 42 points.

The Dee recorded their best league position since 2015 with Tony Docherty’s side narrowly missing out on a European spot.

We were unbeaten against The Dee this season, picking up seven points out of a possible nine. The Hibees drew 0-0 in our first encounter at Easter Road before beating Tony Docherty's side 2-1 both home and away.

Dundee United

Jim Goodwin’s Dundee United side will be back in the top flight next season having earned promotion Championship at the first time of asking.

The Tangerines picked up 75 points from 36 games - finishing six points ahead of closest title challengers Raith Rovers.

Heart of Midlothian

Our Edinburgh rivals Hearts claimed third spot in the cinch Premiership finishing on 68 points, twelve points ahead of fourth place Kilmarnock and securing European group stage football for next season.

Edinburgh Derby's during the 2023/24 campaign were extremely closely fought. Elie Youan scored twice at Tynecastle in October to rescue a point for the Hibees in a 2-2. Lawrence Shankland's last-minute strike snatched victory for Hearts (0-1) at Christmas before the points were shared again in April (1-1).

Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock Manager Derek McInnes led his side to an impressive fourth-place finish having picked up a total of 56 points throughout the season.

The Rugby Park side will now be gearing up for European Football in July after their top-four finish earned them a spot in the Europa League second qualifying round.

We were unbeaten against Kilmarnock in 2023/24 winning 1-0 at Easter Road in December and drawing twice at Rugby Park by the same 2-2 scoreline in September and January.

Motherwell

The Steelmen ended the 2023/24 season in ninth place on 43 points.

Meetings between Hibs and Motherwell returned mixed fortunes with the Hibees picking up five of a possible 12 points on offer.

Our only win against Motherwell came in what was Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson's final home game for the Club - a comfortable 3-0 win in what was a fitting send-off for the two Hibs legends.

Rangers

Philippe Clement's Rangers side finished runners-up in the cinch Premiership, eight points behind their city rivals Celtic having fallen short in the Old Firm meetings throughout the season.

Rangers won the Viaplay Cup in December for the first time since 2011, having defeated Barry Robson’s Aberdeen at Hampden courtesy of a goal from James Tavernier.

The Gers narrowly lost out to Celtic in the Scottish Cup final, however, after finishing second in the table they earned themselves a place in the Champions League qualifying rounds.

Ross County

The Staggies achieved Premiership safety through the play-offs.

The Highland side finished the season in 11th place, meaning they faced a relegation play-off against Ian Murray’s, Raith Rovers.

Don Cowie’s side won the two-legged playoff 6-1 on aggregate to avoid relegation for the second successive season via the play-offs.

We picked up five points out of a possible twelve against County this season, a win for either team and two draws.

St Johnstone

St Johnstone finished the campaign in tenth place on 36 points, narrowly avoiding the relegation play-offs.

Craig Levein’s side secured their Premiership safety for next season on the final day against Motherwell at Fir Park.

The Hibees took six points off the Perth side this season in four games, with two wins and two losses.

St Mirren

Stephen Robinson’s side secured fifth place in the table this season, finishing on 47 points.

It is the Paisley club's highest top-flight finish since 1985 and ensures their first adventure into European football since 1987-88.

We failed to beat the Saints this season in the league, however, we knocked them out of the League Cup winning 4-2 at Easter Road in the quarter-finals.
